Storm

by Lesley Debacco

Upon the water deep…

the sea never will sleep.

The storm will come this day.

The red sky in the morning showed the way.

The blood stain is a warning to all.

Before long the rain will fall/

The birds fly fast,

for they remember the damage filled past.

More often than not…the storm will last.

Ride with me

by Lesley Debacco
Ride with me, a warrior, to the dawn.

We will be silent as a fawn.

I know not what lies ahead.

But if we don’t what shall we do instead?

So trust me and take my accepting hand.

With you I don’t need a plan.

Everything will be fine as long as among you I stand.
